We run lots of projects and activities that help people in Sale live healthy, happy lives, and reach their full potential.

If you’re feeling alone or want to improve your wellbeing, we have regular activities that will help you meet others and feel more connected. Some examples are:
Sporting Memories: Monthly sessions with Lancashire Cricket Club where you can reminisce about sporting moments.
Armchair Dance Class: Weekly gentle movement classes that everyone can enjoy.
Strictly Lunch: A community lunch every Thursday at the Sunshine Community Cafe.
Community Trips: Four trips a year to places like the Lake District, Southport and Llandudno.
Volunteering: Connect with others while making a difference. Contact Susan Astbury, our Volunteering Coordinator.
If you want to find a job, build your confidence, or develop new skills, we offer practical support to help you take your next steps.
Sale Community Information Hub: Open Monday to Wednesday, providing advice on training, employment, CV writing, and benefits.
Thursday Advice Hub: Guidance on employment and benefits every Thursday from 9:30am-12:30pm.
Live Life to the Full: A confidence-building and anxiety reduction course that equips you with practical coping strategies.
Community-based training courses: Regular opportunities to gain new skills.
Bike Library: Learn bike maintenance skills or borrow a bike rental-free.
If you have a young family – or you are a young person – come and see what we have on offer.
School holiday sessions: Fun, structured activities to keep young people active and engaged.
Junior Park Run: Starting September 2025, an opportunity for children to enjoy a Park Run in a supportive environment.
Youth Club: A safe space on a Thursday evening for young people to socialise and learn new skills.
Youth Council: Monthly meetings where young people develop ideas for improving the community and estate.
Baby and Toddler Group: Thursday afternoons, a welcoming space for parents and young children to play and connect.
Family Hub activities: Working with the Family Hub scheme to bring new services to the area, including baby massage in our sensory room.
If you’re struggling with challenges including the cost-of-living, we provide practical help and advice.
Sale Support Hub: Support and advice on a range of issues, from accessing food to energy help.
Foodshare: Every Friday at 10:30am, distributing surplus food from local supermarkets.
The Bread and Butter Thing: Monday afternoons, offering affordable food bundles that help your budget go further.
