What an incredible summer it has been with Beyond the Physical HAF Camp, delivered in partnership with Sale West Community Centre!

This is the first time Beyond the Physical has delivered our HAF programme at Sale West, and the camp has already been described as “Trafford’s best HAF camp ever!”

We even increased our numbers so we could welcome more children through the doors and give even more local young people the opportunity to enjoy a summer filled with fun, friendship and unforgettable memories.

The children have been absolutely incredible throughout, and our staff have been just as amazing. Their passion, energy and commitment to making sure every child has the best summer ever has been clear to see every single day.

From laser tag, dodgeball, water fights, sports days and raffle time, there has never been a dull moment.

We’ve also been incredibly lucky to have some fantastic partners and people helping make the camp so special. The team at Sunshine Community Café have provided incredible, freshly cooked food for the children every day, while we’ve enjoyed exceptional workshops from The Big Comedy Shop, creative crafts with Carol, Manchester Literature Festival activities and environmental workshops.

And, of course, we couldn’t forget the ice cream man, who gave the children a very special treat!

The holiday club was funded by the Government’s Holiday Activities and Food fund which provides free school holiday activities and food to low income families.

What makes this camp so special is that it really has been a team effort. From our incredible staff and to our community partners and everyone working behind the scenes — everyone has played their part in creating something truly special for the children of Sale West.
